After completing his fellowship at Ferguson Clinic in Grand Rapids,Michigan, Dr.Williamson joined Mid Illini Surgical Associates in 1992. A general and colon-rectal surgeon, he specializes in the treatment of colo-rectal diseases. Dr. Williamson received his medical degree from the University of Illinois – Abraham Lincoln School of Medicine in Chicago in 1981. He then completed his internship & residency at Cook County Hospital and the University of Illinois in Chicago. Dr. Williamson is certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon-Rectal Surgery.
