Dr. Jeffrey Williamson a native of Lincoln, Illinois, joined Mid Illini Surgical Associates of Peoria in 1992.  He received his medical degree from the University of Illinois – Abraham Lincoln School of Medicine in Chicago in 1981. 

He completed his internship and residency at Cook County Hospital and the University of Illinois in Chicago and Fellowship in Colon and Rectal surgery at Ferguson Clinic in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  He received his Board certificates from The American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery.  He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Illinois College of Medicine of Peoria, Illinois.

As a colorectal surgeon, Dr. Williamson has expertise in evaluating and treating anal fissures, colon cancer, diverticulitis, inflammatory bowel disease and other rectal disorders

Dr. Williamson is currently a member of the Active Medical Staff at Methodist Medical Center, OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Pekin Hospital, Proctor Hospital and Kewanee Hospital.

Dr. Williamson and his wife, Jane resides in Peoria and are the parents of five children.  In their spare time they enjoy traveling to visit their family and supporting the fighting Illini as well as Boy Scouts of America.
