Insurance & Billing

Mid Illini Surgical Associates participates in most major insurance programs and will bill your insurance carrier for you after your surgery. As an additional service to you, we will assist you with completing prior authorization and pre-certifications with your insurance carriers during your visit. You are responsible for the yearly deductible, co-payment and any balance not covered by your insurance company.

We accept the following major insurance plans:

Medicare Insurance

Our office is a participating provider with Medicare.
When we receive payment, we will then bill your
secondary insurance carrier, if any, for the balance.
If you do not have a secondary insurance carrier, or
the payment is not made within 30 days, we will bill
you for the remainder.

Managed Care Insurance Plans

We participate with many managed care plans and
work hard to stay up to date with all of the plans,
policies and procedures. However, patients are
ultimately responsible for understanding their plan
and must inform MISA of their particular benefits.
For example, many plans require the patient to have tests or be hospitalized at a particular hospital. Please let us know if your plan contains requirements such as these.

Patients Without Insurance

If you do not have insurance, we will be happy to sit down with you and develop a payment plan that will be convenient for you and our practice. We accept all major credit cards in addition to CareCredit™.

Effective April 1, 2008

New Medication Refill Policy

Medication refills will only be authorized during the hours of
8:30am to 3:00pm Monday through Friday.

Mid Illini Surgical Associates
will not refill any medications after hours OR on weekends.

Please plan accordingly.
